What RISE Parents need to know
Who can apply to RISE?
All children in Hall County may apply; however, preference is given to returning students since RISE is a program designed to build year-after-year toward scholastic and personal excellence.
How does the application process work?
The sooner you apply, the better your chances. Paper applications will be available at Fair Street School and Gainesville Housing Authority (854 Davis St, Bldg B) by April 1st. Or, print the forms below.
Once you’ve completed them all you can drop them off at either Melrose, 854 Davis St, Bldg B 30501, or mail them to GHA, PO Box 653, Gainesville, GA 30503.

What is required of parents?
Parents must commit their child to attend the entire session (four weeks). Transportation is provided for children who live in the City of Gainesville. Other residents must drop off their children by 11:30 am for free breakfast, and 11:30 am for program start. RISE ends at 4:45pm each day and carpooling parents must pick them up by 5:00pm. Additionally, parents are encouraged to attend all special events and RISE graduation.
How much does RISE cost?
RISE is free to participants. The funding for the program is provided by community partners and grants.
